MBP Australasia (formerly MBP Australia) is a manufacturer, importer and distributor of quality components supporting the Water Storage Industry for over 70 years.

MBP specialise in components and water level control solutions for Water Tanks, Stock Troughs and many other vessels.

We hold a Watermark Licence no. WM-022065 and most of our water storage components and valves comply with either Watermark or other Australian Standards including AS/NZS 4020:2005 (products suitable for contact with drinking water). We also hold a number of Registered Designs protecting our innovations which have assisted our customers over the years with improved installation, efficiencies and operation in the field.

MBP HISTORY

MBP Australasia (formerly MBP Australia) was established in 1949 as Mt. Barker Products, a small ferrous foundry manufacturing hardware and rail car components in the Adelaide Hills.

During the early 1950’s the foundry began to concentrate more on Copper Alloys, mainly Brass, to manufacture and supply fittings to the local plumbing industry. Originally based in the township of Mount Barker, 40kms from Adelaide, SA, MBP developed a new site at Murray Bridge in 2001.

Now based in Murray Bridge, 75 km east of Adelaide, the company remains a privately owned family business.

Today, MBP Australasia has grown to better serve its customers in the water storage and rotational moulding industries throughout Australia and the South Pacific region with a much expanded range of water storage components.

In June 2017, MBP acquired YAKTEK Industries, the manufacturer and supplier of premium water level gauges for water tanks both in Australia and Internationally. The acquisition further positioned MBP Australasia as the market leader of quality water storage components and fit-out solutions in Australia and beyond.

The MBP Group has grown to support distribution in the UK, USA, India, and South Africa while distributing to the Asia Pacific region directly from our Australian warehouse.

PRODUCTS

MBP Australasia designs, manufactures and distributes a range of products in strict accordance with an internal quality system based on the requirements of AS3902 / ISO9002.

MBP’s range consists of products for a variety of OEM and end-users and includes both proprietary and OEM specific products. Many of which are approved to the Watermark and AS/NZS4020 standards and/or have registered designs.
